How to Customize Discount Code Prefixes

To begin customizing your code prefixes:

  1. Go to your Loloyal dashboard, navigate to Preferences > Orders.

  2. Find the Discount code prefixes section. This is where you can manage and customize prefixes for your discount codes.

Prefix Customization Options

You can choose between two modes of prefix generation:

✅ Global Prefix Mode

All discount codes will use one shared prefix.

Example: LOLOYAL-123456

✅ Specific Prefix Mode

Assign different prefixes for different types of rewards. This offers more flexibility and branding control.

Here are the prefix types you can customize:

Prefix Type

Description

Default if Left Blank

Loyalty reward prefix

Prefix for standard loyalty rewards

Uses Global Prefix

Referral advocate reward prefix

Prefix for rewards earned by referring customers (the advocate)

Uses Global Prefix

Referral friend reward prefix

Prefix for referral rewards received by the referred friend

Uses Global Prefix

VIP tier reward prefix

Prefix for rewards associated with VIP tier benefits

Uses Global Prefix

Simply enter your preferred prefix in the field. If you leave any field blank, Loloyal will automatically apply the global prefix for that reward type.

💡 Tips

  • Keep prefixes short and brand-relevant, such as WELCOME-, VIP-, or your brand name.

  • Prefixes can help identify where a discount came from, which is useful for tracking and support.

By customizing your discount code prefixes, you create a more seamless and branded customer journey—one that customers recognize, remember, and trust.
