Introduction
You can offer exclusive discounts to your VIP customers by syncing Trustoo Loyalty VIP tags with Shopify and using third-party discount apps like Regios Discounts or Sami Wholesale. This guide walks you through the full setup.

Step 1: Set Up VIP Tags in Trustoo Loyalty
Disable the VIP program under Program and Smart Tags under Preferences (temporarily).
Go to Trustoo Loyalty Admin > Program > VIP, click Edit on each VIP tier.
Under each tier, add a unique Tag (e.g.,
vip-gold,vip-silver, etc.).Once tags are added to all tiers, enable the VIP program and Smart Tags again.
📝 Trustoo Loyalty will now automatically apply these tags to customers based on their VIP tier, and the tags will sync to Shopify.
Step 2: Install a Third-Party Discount App
Choose one of the following apps from the Shopify App Store:
Make sure you're on a paid plan that supports tag-based discount rules.
Step 3: Create a Tag-Based Discount Flow
Example below uses Regios Discounts, but the setup is similar in other Shopify discount apps.
Open the Regios Discounts app in your Shopify admin.
Create a new discount rule.
Under Eligibility, choose Customers with specific tags.
Enter the same tags you set in Trustoo Loyalty (e.g.,
vip-gold,vip-silver).Set up the desired discount percentage or fixed amount.
Save and activate the rule.
Once set up, customers with matching VIP tags will automatically receive the appropriate discounts during checkout.
✅ Result
When a customer qualifies for a VIP tier in Trustoo Loyalty, their tag is synced to Shopify. The third-party discount app uses that tag to apply the corresponding discount—no manual work needed!
💡 Tips
You can customize different discount amounts for different tiers (e.g., Gold gets 20%, Silver gets 10%).
Test the flow by assigning yourself a tag in Shopify and checking the discount at checkout.
Always keep your VIP rules and tag names consistent between Trustoo Loyalty and your discount app.
